Claiming points for 2 year's before experience (2004 to 2012)

Hi,

I have total 9 years of experience in IT. For last 1.5 years (Nov 2012 to today) I am working as IT Project Manager. But before that my whole experience, about 8 years is in software development as programmer/system analyst.

Can I claim points for that 8 years experience i.e. from Sep 2004 to Nov 2012? (excluding current PM experience)

Your help will be highly appreciated.

Yes you may claim that experience. Once you are eligible to apply on account of minimum one year experience in eligible NOCs, points for any experience in Skill type 0, A or B in any other NOC can also be claimed.

Thank you for your reply.

What I understand is that:

1-I can claim 15 points for experience (8 years) as computer programmer from 2004 to 2012 in Skill Type 2 NOC 2174 Computer programmers and interactive media developers AND

2-I can claim 0 points for experience (1+ years) as project manager from 2012 to today in Skill Type 0 NOC 0213 Computer and information systems managers

Consider your 9+ years experience (comprising Type 0, A and B skills) as a single entity. Individual NOCs are not considered separately.
