Hi guys,

Even though I'll only hit 2 years of work experience in mid-August (104 weeks completed officially), my EE profile updated itself and gave me additional points on July 1st. I subsequently received an ITA on July 10th. My question is, should I:
(A) Go ahead and apply for PR now;
(B) Wait until I hit 2 years of work experience officially before applying under the ITA received on July 10th; or (C) Decline this ITA and hope that I receive another ITA after I've officially completed the 104 weeks?

I intend to contact CIC to clarify this but was wondering if any of you have had similar experiences, particularly those who went with option (A) and were successful.

Thanks!

You can't claim points for 2 years even though the system gave you those points because it is designed to count month to month.

As you rightly pointed out, you have the option to,

1. Wait till you officially complete 2 years (104 weeks) and then submit the application, You'll need to include a very nicely drafted LOE which points out the discrepancy and the fact that you waited those additional weeks to be eligible and send out the application and politely request the officer to consider your case favorably. That's he best you can do and then you are at the mercy of CIC.

2. Decline this ITA because you technically did not have the score required for this draw. Wait for the next draw after you finish 104 weeks and rightfully claim your place then. The risks involved in Option 1 won't apply here.

Your call.

Hi Seniors,
Please suggest on my query:-
1. I completed 2yrs 10months on date of EE profile submission. CRS calculated for 3yrs because of the month and year anomaly.
2. As on date of ITA profile submission I will have 2yrs 11months work experience in terms of days/weeks fulfillment.
Please suggest how will the CIC officers view this situation?
Thanks
