Claiming 50 Points for Express Entry - ICT Work Permit Holder

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in Canada on an ICT work permit under the C12 specialized knowledge category. My work permit is valid until 2026. I recently applied for Express Entry but unfortunately, I didn't receive the 50 points for having a valid job offer in Canada.

Next month, I will complete two years of continuous residence in Canada under this ICT. My NOC code is 21231.

I've been researching online, and it seems that to claim the 50 points, I might need a letter from my employer guaranteeing my employment for at least one year. However, since I work for an MNC, I'm not sure if HR will be able to provide such a guarantee.

I'm a bit confused about how to proceed. Can anyone who has been in a similar situation or has expertise in this area please offer some guidance? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.

FYI - IRCC has recently announced that they are doing away with the 50 points for job offers.

Thank you for your response. I understand that. However, I hope ICT transfers are still possible, as I believe they may still grant 50 points.
Additionally, my two-year Canadian experience is not included in the CRS points. I’m not sure how to add that. I’ve already included my previous work history and ongoing work history.

This would indicate you are answering one or more questions incorrectly, apart from the questions you showed in your previous post. Suggest you review each question carefully again and your responses, especially those related to work experience. There's at least one error in your answers somewhere.
