Can one claim refugee at any border checkpoint or some borders don't accept claims?

Yes sir. What I'm wondering is I don't just want to go to a random border and then turn me back because they don't accept refugee applications. Or do all Canadian border crossings accept refugee claims?

hi, I guess all borders accept refugees if you have family in Canada( check CIC website for family accepted) I came through Buffalo, NY.
Register at Vive La Casa and they make an appointment with the border. Hope this helps.
