I called today and they are opeing mail the received on 2/24 and processing mail received on 2/18.
They received my mail on April 10th so they probably wont get to mine until Mid July.
I know in previous threads people have said its ok to submit proof that you have mailed in your Request for a background check from the FBI to the CIC and they will wait.
Does this still apply under the Express Entry 60 day deadline? My dealine to sumbit my application is May 26th.
Or will I be rejected because I am missing this and will have to wait to me invited again? >:(
On their website they said no extensions will be granted.

Applications reached FBI on 3/2/15.
My CC was charged today 5/19/15, --> 12 weeks

Hi all,

I am new here and this is my first post on this forum. Looks like its been a while since someone has been here but if anyone out here please let me know how much time should I wait after sending in my fingerprint application before I make the first call to the FBI regarding the delivery.
Thanks for the tons of information above ...........but please let it keep coming :)

They will tell you to hang up if it hasn't been around 11 weeks I think.

I sent in my request on September 13th and my credit card still has not yet been charged and its been over two months. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes over 3 months.

I just sent them an email asking for the confirmation of receiving my documents. Almost within 5 minutes I got the following response -

"Thank you for your inquiry,

The current processing time for an FBI Background Check is taking 11-13 weeks to complete from the date the request was received. It can take 10+ weeks for a request to clear our security process before we are able to see the request in our system. At this time we are opening mail we received on approximately 8-24-2015 it is too early to see the request(s).If you submitted your request by courier (Fed Ex, UPS, or USPS), please view their web site to verify delivery.

Unfortunately, no requests can be expedited at this time due to the amount of work. Please be sure to supply your full name, address, and date of birth when requesting a status update.

Thank you
Monica

Well I guess they won't confirm or deny it. So its a wait and watch game from here on......but...at least I got to know that they are opening the mails received around 24th Aug 2015

Just a friendly reminder to those that are still waiting for their FBI IHSR letter.

The day that your credit card is actually charged, only means that they've started the process. It does NOT mean that the fingerprints have been deemed to be legible (which they hopefully are). Some people have found out after waiting a couple of months (and seeing their card charged) that the prints were rejected.

IMHO, those that have the resources should send a second complete set of prints, just in case.

Good luck!

Can anyone recent say whether their card has been charged and how long after submission? After waiting months already without my card even being charged it would suck to have to wait months more.

They're really adamant about not confirming if your package even got there. I didn't use a courier so god knows if it's even there lol.
