hello.

I (sponsored person) got married in Canada and I have a marriage certificate issued in Quebec.
however, I haven't register my husband (sponsor) as my spouse in my country.
so civil status in my country shows i am still single.
my husband hasn't declared our marriage in his country either

(changing my status in my country .will take really long.
changing his status in his country will take almost forever! ;( ;( ;( )

I am applying outside Canada.

Do you think it will be a problem?

How and why would you qualify to wed in Quebec if neither of you were legal residents? Register you marriage in your countries and get in line, assuming you are asking this in regard to a family based PR (which neither of you qualify for...)

thanks for the quick answer

I am an international student (holding a valid study permit) and my husband is PR (now applying for citizenship).

we both are living in Canada.

that is how we could get married in Quebec ;)

we have been living together for more than 3years and my husband declared Revenue Canada that

he is married.

all legal documents in Canada shows we are married except our countries..

it is not a problem if you haven't declared the marriage in your home country because the wedding is legal by Canadian standards.
