Hi, my entire process inland took 1 1/2 year. Actually it is not finish yet because I dont have SIN and PR card, have to wait for more 3 months. The total processing time will be around 2 years, that is too much in my opinion.Shanbrazil said:They plan to have their civil marriage there. How was the wait time for you in the inland? Would you recommend it for a brazilian or is outland a better option?
I am inquiring for my son who is a canadian citizen, and his very soon to be wife brazilian. Our family has been living in brazil for almost 9 years. We also did the permanat visa process here. He has been back working in Canada for almost a year to prepare for her to move their with him once they are married. They have known each other for five yrs, dated for a year, engaged for 1 1/2 yrs. a pretty good amount of relationship proof, pics, letters, chats, gifts, etc.. She went to visit earlier this year and he is here right now on holidays. I wouldn't think their would be question as to genuinity. They are younger, he is 20, she is 19, but determined! So the outland, may be faster, and the only risk would be the possible interview in which she would have to fly back.
What is your opinion?? Any other brazilians want to throw in any ideas??
Outland process (brazilian cases) are taking much less time, some casess around 6-8 months total processing times. In my case, if I could I would apply outland. The process inland is very very exhaustive because you cannot study or work unless you apply for visas - and to study it will coast internacional fees.
There is another topic in this forum, If I am not wrong the name is : Sao Paulo applicants. You can talk to the people there and they can share their experiences in a outland process.
Good luck!
