My citz appln in process ( family appln) . New baby born in the family a couple of days ago. Am catching up with every thing at the moment. Still far from routine.

Meanwhile, Can you advise - what needs to be taken care reg citz appln in process. Would also appreciate reference links if you can ( eg., forms, etc) . Thanks a ton!

Congratulations Boltz and family!

Was the child born in Canada? If so, no action is needed.

Thank you Eileenf - yes, born in Canada. Ok; great to hear nothing more is required.

If, in case I prefer to just write to CIC officer as a fyi, whom & where do I send this letter to? would you know. Thx.

Any body? TIA

I don't think you have to do anything. Hopefully someone can confirm

There is nothing to do, the child is already a Canadian citizen and that citizenship has zero effect on the pending citizenship of the rest of the family. But call the Call Centre if you'd like confirmation and report back to let us know what they said.

Note: A child born, or a new family member when a PR application is in process is a whole different matter and must be reported ASAP.

I'm in the same situation. My son was born during my application process. I did call the CIC and was told that nothing needs to be done. Enjoy your time with the new baby. You also can contact CIC to confirm.
