Nope, and that's a very ambiguous statement. Citizenship is granted throughout the year to children who have met the requirements and who have applied for it themselves, with their parents, or by their parent after sponsorship.

Hi,

I am eligible to apply for canadian citizenship. But my indian passport is expiring in next 10 months which I am planning to renew in next 2-3 months. Can I apply for citizenship now or should renew my current passport first?
