Hi all,
I applied for citizenship in Feb 2018. My application is okay as replied by CIC. I am expecting the invite for the citizenship test this month or early next month.
My question is someone aware of the time given between the invite and the test?

Thanks for the inputs
Sam

Firstly I don't think you should be expecting your test this this soon. The time between invite and test is about 2 weeks usually.

thanks for the reply kushari. well my impression that I am going to get an invite soon is feedback from the immigration resource center in my city.
Neither me nor my wife have read the book even once so I was wondering how much time we actually get between the invite and the test. we are starting to read now and if the invite is late, we don't mind, hehe

Irrespective of when you get it.. it is better to be prepared in advance to avoid last minute rush and panic especially when you have a family. At times depending on your work as well, you may not get the time you need... so one should start preparing as soon as you submit the application.

Guys,
I have a quick question. I applied for my citizenship on Oct. 19th of 2017. I received my test date today which has been scheduled for July 5, 2018.
I'll be traveling to India from Jul. 27, 2018 to Aug 29, 2018, as I am getting married. Now, I'm confused if my oath ceremony gets fixed for a date within the period of my vacation, what can I possibly do. Please help.

Thank you,
Nick.

What office?

well you can always re schedule your oath as it is a genuine reason to avoid the ceremony. Besides you have the plan chalked out well before the test and the ceremony so I do not see any problem.
