Hello All,

I am not sure if it is only me but this Citizenship Test indefinite cancellation is becoming ridiculous. does anyone have any idea if there is any discussion about a solution for this in the near future?
if delays keep on piling up like that, my PR is going to expire before i could be done with the Citizenship process and PR card renewal costs money and more importantly, it takes a very long time which I don't have because my job requires me to travel often and if I can't travel due to my PR card being renewed I most probably will be fired. I am many others are also in a tough situation because of this too.

In that case you should apply for urgent PR renewal with a letter of explanation and company letter confirming that. Good luck!

I had to renew my card because of the cancelation. I sent the application in a few months ago and it hasn’t even started to process yet. So, if your card is going to expire with in the next 8 months, I’d just accept that you’ll need to pay the $50 to renew and start the process now. If you need it for your job, they you can ask for it to be expedited. If you go that route, they’ll try and get it to you within a month, but there are no guarantees.
