Myself and my wife took our test today and thought I would share my experience.

I got 20/20 for the test itself, and it probably took me about 3 mins to complete; i was the first done out of a group of approximately 40. We knew the material really well and recognized all the questions easily. I used the following sites for online practice.

http://www.v-soul.com/onlinetest/

http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/

http://citizenshipcounts.ca/quiz

http://www.apnatoronto.com/canadian-citizenship-test-practice/

http://www.toptipsclub.com/Citizenship_Test_Index.asp

I also listened to the audio version of discover Canada but didn't read the book.

My wife was done in about 5 minutes (she got 20/20 as well) and then joined me to wait to be called for the interview.

The interview itself was pretty standard and they basically asked us all the questions asked in the application form. We were told that we would be called for the oath in approximately 2 - 4 months.

I hope this information helps.

Hello Friends!

Please enter your timelines in the below Google sheet which started in Jan of 2014. It will help build a statistical model for expecting next steps:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Au02r_J_VN90dHdrcDJyaWZYYW55d0hJMzJDNUFRaHc#gid=0

Good luck to all !

Can those applicants receiving test or oath invitation update their info on the spreadsheet? Thanks,

I called the cic number 1-888-242-2100.

It seems incredibly difficult to get through. I was getting the "All circuits are busy..." message for a while, and then eventually managed to get the options and make my way to the citizenship one, where it then said due to high call volume, calls cannot be transferred to an agent, and disconnected me. Oh well, I tried. :(

Hi, want to share my timeline so far:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 24, 2014.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 19, 2014.

We started processing your application on December 23, 2014.

Your file was transferred to the Edmonton office on December 31, 2014. The Edmonton office will contact you.

I finally received the notice to appear to take oath of citizenship on May 21st. My ecas is not yet updated. So total from date of proecessing to oath is 14 months, no RQ and I only submitted the documents CIC requested in the application, did not order/request for cbsa report or ATIP.

Yes, I am very happy as the wait is almost over :-)

Congratulations! ;D

What do you guys mean by IP line gone or in-process line gone? Where would I see that? I am assuming on online status but where exactly? Thanks.

Any Apr-2014 candidates receiving test notification?

Just an update: I received the letter for oath-taking yesterday, then this morning, ecas has been updated.

Hi All,

Wanted share my timelines.
I submitted my application on Apr 4th 2014, Exam scheduled on May 8th 2015.

Thanks

For all the guys who got their test invite, which one happened earlier?: the ecas update about the test or the letter in mail for test invite?

Seems like now april applicants have started getting it. Mine was in march end, hopefully my application did not go backseat.
Yesterday my ecas got updated that my PR renewal was approved and PR card sent to my address. But no updates for citizenship application.

The test letter was mailed the day before I received it, and eCas updated the day after that.

I was wondering what documents I need to take with me for the interview after the test. I lost an old passport (I mentioned this when I was filling out my application) and I just want to minimize the chance of getting a post-test RQ. Would your mind sharing your experience/recommendations?
Thanks,

You were requested fingerprint by Stdney or Edmonton office?
