Hi Sophie,

From what we read on this forum, many applicants whose office is Mississauga "like urs" receive their oath invitation right on the spot after their test interview!
What do u think the reason of u not having it on the spot!?
Also did u notice any applicant was given the oath invitation on the spot @ the same day when u took ur test?...
Thanx Sophie for sharing & wish u a quick receive of ur Oath ceremony.

No, they did not distribute any oath letters on August 11th. Even before starting the test they mentioned that oath letters would be sent by mail and not given on the spot. After the test, they restated the same. We know our application was approved, but these guys are slow....

hi sophie,

Mississauga is the FASTEST office in Ontario so stop whining 8)

I am NOT complaining :)
I just want to finalize this chapter, it has been a very stressful one.

If it helps, I took the test on July 14th (Mississauga office), and had my citizenship ceremony on August 5th. They are very fast.

It's probably the fastest office in all of Canada!

But they seem to have some variance in their procedures. Sometimes they give that oath letter on the same day. Sometimes you have to wait a few weeks.

Thanks and good luck,

Hello Sophie, No Updates atleast for my family application. I took the test on Septemeber 24th in mississauga & still waiting for Oath. I called CIC Last week & they told me that my application is approved & my next step is Oath and it will take 6 months from the time of the exam.

Did you call CIC to find out your status? did they mention to you if it is approved or under review or something?

Yes, we called them. The standard statements - it takes up to 24 months to process the applications. Blah blah blah :(
