Hi there,
Yesterday I appeared for Canadian citizenship test. After the written test when they called me for brief interview and document verification, they told me that I passed my test and I corrected 17 questions out of 20.
During my interview they asked me a few general questions and at the end they told me that I have to appear before citizenship judge. They will send me a notice regarding time and venue.
It seems they were not satisfied about my communication skills.
Now I don't know why they asked me to appear before citizenship judge. What do I need to prepare? Will the judge test my language ability or he may test my knowledge about Canada. I am really confused.
Can any one help to get me out of this dilemma.

You need to remember specific questions you were asked at your interview. Jot them down if you can recall and write down your answers too. It's hard to say whether it's your communication skills or a particular response to a question that triggered a call for a judge interview. Ask yourself whether you were sufficient in explaining yourself to those specific questions at your interview.

Based on your test score, you passed, so I don't think your knowledge of Canada is the issue. You only need 15/20 correct answers.

Now I recall. last question was about a UK VISITOR VISA on my passport. Officer, asked me did I ever go to UK?
I replied NO. Then Officer, asked I took VISA and did not go, why? I was struggling to explain this question.
My flight from India to Canada was through London and I was travelling on complimentary tickets( which my husband got from the airlines in which he was working as aircraft engineer). So, it was the airlines requirement to get UK VISA as transit visa.
I could not explain this properly to the officer. I think, this may also be a reason to trigger something in the mind of officer. After this officer didn't ask any more question and told me that I had to appear before citizenship judge.
If any one gone through a similar situation or can guide me through my case history I explained. It will help me a lot to prepare my interview with judge

did you have to change airports at UK? airlines won't make you get transit visa unless you need to get out of the airport.
