Of course the two people with European passports aren't in any rush lmao
Your judgement is absolutely unnecessary. Nothing about my post suggested what my situation is. I explained to another user why people are upset: employment factors and family reunification.Of course the two people with European passports aren't in any rush lmao
So true. I would like to know if these "Big Rush" guys are joining the Canadian Military. I can totally understand the rush there.Your judgement is absolutely unnecessary. Nothing about my post suggested what my situation is. I explained to another user why people are upset: employment factors and family reunification.
You have absolutely no clue what my situation is so I suggest not jumping to conclusions mate.
That is so bad, they should clear 2019 applicants first. If you look to the tracking sheet for Ottawa 2019 , you notice that most of 2019 applicant have not received any update after the AOR early this year , so applications in AOR status only.
looking to 2020 sheet, most of applicant got the status changed from AOR to In-process. mostly end of august or September. i am just looking to Ottawa office. this means there is progress going on.
it is not clear why they are working on 2020 applications but not 2019 list .
Having a PR gives you a status as much as a Canadian inside Canada, minus voting. So no complains in that department. Outside Canada however, and in my case among many, you may be carrying another nationality that constantly subjects you to consistent harassment on each airport, visas getting denied, losing opportunities to attend work related conferences, or even getting a visa to visit family (not all my family lives in my home country). Please forgive me here for assumptions but aren't you all permanent residents before applying for citizenship?
What's the big rush?
Maybe the new 2020 applicants = money ( they have to pay to start the process) , the 2019 applicants have already paid, so no rush, keep'em in-process status !!!!!its really concerning . I am seeing people posting that application moved to in-process. 99 % from the post i have seen so far are 2020 applicants. ! what is going on!
Our friend is right. This is a golden opportunity that should not be missed! It would be stupid and really too bad.Hello all,
Someone named Kathleen Harris from CBC news has posted on a Facebook "canadian citizenship test" group that she is doing a story on cancelled citizenship tests and wants people to write to her on kathleen.harris@cbc.ca.
I think this is the best opportunity for us to raise awareness about this issue and help each other and future citizenship applicants. Please take a minute and write to her ASAP!
Thanks for sharing this. I think important to highlight some key themes to her in our emails in terms of lack of communication, no statement or communication on this from elected representatives including the minister, likely impact of 699 leave and how this is causing significant distress for most applicants. Please also highlight how most of us have paid on average around $1,500 for a family package in a world where many are without jobs and deserve a minimum level of services and transparency from CIC.
Also plug for online testing goes without saying. There is no excuse why this should not be implemented. If it is in fact in process of being implemented there should be communication. Also, I know she is likely focused on citizenship testing, important to highlight how AOR is taking around 7 months on average with many people getting their applications returned after this time to reapply for missing a check mark.
Clearly you don’t have an issue so why are you posting here? Please forgive me here for assumptions but aren't you all permanent residents before applying for citizenship?
What's the big rush?
it is not about rush. it is about what is right and what is wrong. If someone is paid to do something from your tax money and they are getting the money but not doing the job that they are supposed to do, then ppl will complain. I would love to have a job myself where I do nothing and still get paid. And if all sectors are open now or doing something to adapt to new norms, then why not this department? I am not complaining. You won't find any posts from me complaining but I need to have a clear idea of what's gonna happen in future and what steps are being taken in this respect. Btw I am a march 2019 applicant and 18 months is a long time to wait for a test invite but I am still not complaining. Please forgive me here for assumptions but aren't you all permanent residents before applying for citizenship?
What's the big rush?
Leave and go where? Hearsay,eh?many applicants are waiting for their citizenship to leave Canada
