So, here's what I learned during my test today:

  • The test is easier overall than the test questions you find on those websites. Do a 100 question test there and if you're in the 80s or over you should be just fine.
  • Once the test is written you hand your form in to be marked. The forms are marked on a first come first served basis, so I rushed the test so I wouldn't have to wait too long.
  • The agent told me that my RQ had been processed and asked me questions about some small discrepancies in my application (T4 not matching the company I stated I worked at, date of one US visit not being precisely specified, stamps missing in passport) and chatted with me to, I assume, ascertain my level of English knowledge.

If you have any questions, let me know!

Awesome thanks for sharing! Did they tell you when you would be expecting an oath date? Or will it be going for interview with Cit Judge?

Also did you take all your supporting documents? And did they check all your supporting documents or were they mainly concerned with passport entry/exits?

Cheers

The agent was going to order records of my comings and goings from CBSA after which my case will be reviewed by a judge. As far as I understand, all cases are reviewed by a judge at that stage. If the judge is satisfied, I'll get an oath date (3-4 months). I'll go for an interview with a judge only if the other judge finds something suspicious with my application.

I brought apartment leases and insurance papers on top of what was required, but the only things I showed were my passports, drivers license and PR card.

If they already reviewed your RQ shouldn't they have had the info - or did you not opt for them to check when filling out RQ?

I opted for them to check it, but they didn't for some reason. I guess they wanted to check my passport first. She said the check would take only a week or so.

Hi

I got my test date as Feb 24th at St. Claire office. I got the letter very much in advance considering that most of them get 2 weeks max. My friend who attended test recently at Mississauga office was given oath date the following week. 1 week after the test date. So what are the timelines like for the oath at the St. Claire office once the test is done.

thanks

I had mine on the 30th and swede had his on 28th. In my case the agent said the usual 2-4 months to receive oath date but also mentioned that they are moving things a little faster so might be sooner if we are lucky! :) Good luck on your upcoming test and I'll keep you all posted once more news comes in
