citizenship online payment question my girl friend paid her credit card for me

Hi， everyone, i am newbie here. will join you guys for citizenship group.
I just filled out the application,and when i try to pay online by my credit card, it got declined .and then I used my girlfriends credit card.it went through ,however, when I was going to print out the receipt with bar code. I noticed that the name is my girl friend's name on the receipt .is there any problem if I file this whole package to CIC? i am just afraid that after i wait couple months my application will be returned . in that case,i may waist lots of time. .... please help me, is there anyone did same thing before or have a similar situation ? appreciate your comments ..thanks

That is totally fine. As far as the money are there, its all good. However, make sure:

1) To write your name, Client ID, Date of Birth, Address on the space provided on the receipt.

You are good to go and good luck. No worries. Remember to do what I said above 1).

You are very welcome. CIC do not expect everyone to have a credit card and many have done this with no issues at all. Just to add on: I do not think the name of the credit card holder shows on the receipt, its a dummy name that you type and it shows up there... In any case, its all good.

Hi ,

I have got almost the same issue . I need to pay Fee for my 18 years old son . As he is using my credit card so my name appears on the receipt . Should he strike off my name from the receipt and write his name in the same space or leave my name as it is and write his own name as well alongwith mentioning his other details.

Kindly advise about that option which could provide less complication in the processing .

Need to send mine and his application tomorrow so looking for an early response.

This is my personal experience:
I haven't had a credit card at the time I applied for citizenship. One of my friends paid the fee for me using her cc. The receipt had her name printed. I called CIC to ask if it was any problem with that. They confirmed there is no problem.
I did not appear online with "Received" status at all. My ID appeared as "In Process" status when they started to work on my case, 7 months and a half later. Your name might appear online at the time when they start working on your application. Don't worry about that.

My friend that paid for my application sent her citizenship application in the same day with me, from the same poste office. She appeared online in 3 weeks after submission - status "Received". Her account had a mention that she paid multiple applications, even though she was a single applicant.
