Hi,
I'am due for citizenship in March 2021,
My daughter who 10 years and i a PR, stays with her mother in India. Her PR card expires in Jan 2021
I know, she does not need to meet the residency requirements if applying for citizenship along with my application,
My questions are
1) Does she (minor daughter) need to have a valid PR card at the time of filing of citizenship
2) Does she need to be in Canada at the time of filing for Citizenship

She has to maintain her PR status to apply with you. Or she can claim citizenship after you have become a citizen (through descent). She doesn't have to be in Canada to file for citizenship.

OK. I believe her PR status remains even if her card is expired. Which means she can apply for citizenship with me.

Did your daughter live in Canada for 730 days out of 5 years to maintain her PR status? If so, she can apply with you at the same time. If not, she’d be in residency violation.

Minor children do not need to meet 1,095 days residency requirement BUT they need to maintain their PR status before applying for citizenship.

And no, she cannot claim citizenship by descent after your naturalization because she was born before you becoming a naturalized Canadian.
