Citizenship oath ceremony missed

Thank you for reading, I promise any guidance or help with my query below will be rewarded a like in return.

I received an oath ceremony invitation in May 2023 via email but I informed them via email that I won’t be able to attend as I was not in the country during that time. Today I received another fingerprint request from CIC for my citizenship application but I am confused as I already provided them the fingerprints and did all the steps for the application. Can someone please let me know why I am receiving another request for fingerprints now? Is this expected when we do not attend citizenship ceremony the first time. When I check my citizenship application it correctly states the entire timeline the last status being “I was invited for ceremony in Many 2023”.

Fingerprint is valid only for a year. Maybe as you skipped the ceremony and your application is still in progress, the FP expired and so they need you to do it again. Do you remember when you submitted the FP last time?

Thank you for replying yes it’s been more than a year. Does that mean I would need to take test again aa well?
