Hi, Got invitation for oath ceremony for my parents, both over 70 . They do not speak English well and I want to act as interpreter.
does anyone has any experience about this? should I let them know beforehand or just tell them in ceremony (video - zoom)

This isn't allowed.

They need to be able to show that they can effectively communicate in one of Canada's official languages.

Actually it is allowed, seniors over 65 do not need provide proof of language.

I appreciate if someone with same situation share experience.

The email with the oath invitation gives instructions regarding needing an interpreter. Congratulations on the invite.
