I did my citizenship exam this week and I passed during the interview the officer told me that I have two passports during my eligibility period , so I told her I have only the new passport the other one is expired and I did left it back home I’m my country so she told me will pull a report and she will contact my by email to let me know what will happen next
So is this going to delay my citizenship application and the date for the ceremony and what will happen ?

It may affect the process of citizenship. Since you could not produce your expired passport, they cannot verify that you didn't leave Canada using your old passport during the eligibility period. Lucky for my wife, she included her expired passport at the interview. Her expired passport also fell in the 5 year period even though she never used it (new and old passport overlapped by 2 years). She only used her new passport since she came to Canada and her old expired passport did overlap in the eligibility 5 year period. The agent did looked and reviewed her expired passport, despite never been used or mentioned in citizenship application.

You have to keep all of your passports in your possession even if its expired. I don't know why you left it in your home country. Anyway, it will not have any negative impact on your application but it will cause delays. That's what my understanding is.
