I get that. This is just a question even I ask to new canadian, are you going to leave now? If OP says yes I will leave canada after passport and because of this if she denied citizenship, then you can complain. In job interview some people ask how many kids you have. Do you think it's matter if someone has 2 or someone has 3 unless job requires no kids?
In a job interview, that question is not allowed and the employer can get in trouble for it. Not a good analogy.

Employer can get trouble by asking applicant about their family during interview? LOL. This world needs a reset. Did you even attend any interview in canada?

I don't think the analogy works. There was an entire political campaign about the issue of post-oath residency intentions just a couple of years ago and it was decided in favor of it doesn't matter.

I m housewife with 3 kids 6, 5 and 2. Both elder ones are going school. My husband is back home since 1.5 years to wind his job issues and some family assignments there. I had citizenship test with 16 marks last week but in interview she asked questions. Like y my husband is out of country for so long and y I visited back home for 5 months with kids after applying for citizenship. I told the truth. She even asked that will u leave Canada after Passport I told never as that is not my intention. Then she told me that u got 16 marks and wait for our letter or email. I m stressed that what could happen?

Hi, what was the outcome of your application? Did they contact you for more information or did you get ang oath invitation already?

Hi everyone,

I had the test in Scarborough. After test they asked everyone to stay in the big room and they interviewed everyone in front of others . But they asked me and 3 others to come to the other room for interview. When I asked why you didn't interview there and request us to come here . She told me I dont like to interview in front of others. Is there any one has the same situation in the Scarborough for the interview?
