Thanks everyone. I can't imagine that individual offices get to determine if interviews can be taken from outside of Canada, so it's likely that it is now allowed. :)

That being said, it would be nice, if someone from other offices also confirm.

I saw that another person from Calgary also got interviewed outside of Canada, so it seems OK for citizenship interviews to be conducted outside of Canada. After all, what's the purpose to travel back to Canada for an online event that doesn't involve change of PR status? Also, they only gave me one-week notice for the interview. So this should be great news to anyone who is outside of Canada.

Surrey office allowed me to take interview outside from canada on 2nd November

Could anyone please share their experience interviewing outside Canada; what kind of questions were asked? Thanks!

I sent the officer who sent me the interview email if it possible to do it out side canada, waiting for the reply.

It was casual, mainly to check stamps on passports and IDs.
Asked me about my time in Canada, Jobs, When did I go to India, and when I'm coming back.
Lastly advised to email itinary as soon as I come back to schedule oath.

So I'm assuming our process will be paused for Oath until we come back.

Many thanks for the info. This sounds a bit worrying. I was hoping that the process will continue and I go back for the oath. If they will wait for us to go back before continuing the process it creates a huge uncertainty doesn't it? Did they give you any timeline for oath scheduling after you sending them an itinerary?

Sorry to scare you, I can't say for sure that they gone put it on hold. But I'll share with you my GCMS note which made me assume that.
Also its been 2 days since I emailed my boarding pass, I haven't received any email from them.

Also, I requested an urgent process that could be another reason for the IRCC agent to want me to send the boarding pass to get the oath scheduled .
