I have IELTS result to show as English proof. But the passport number mentioned in it is of old passport. Is it still valid?

It does not matter. It has to match your name.
I gave IELTS in Dubai, UAE. The IELTS doc had UAE issued national ID# (Emirates ID)
I used the same IELTS doc during the PR process and now during the Citizenship process.
