I just saw that the Citizenship form has been updated since I submitted it. I filled the application on Feb 10th and sent on Feb 11 and the page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/adults.asp still shows September 2013 though the date on application itself is Feb 2014 now( cannot say when it was actually updated)
The one I send was Sep 2013.

Will this be returned?

Re: Citizenship form changed after submission...problem?

Also just realized that though I have submitted copies of my expired as well as current passport I did not send copy of the landing stamp. Will this be an issue?

I had checked when I submitted and the above page had September 2013 so I thought it had not been changed but just saw the form now and found that it has been changed. No idea when that happened.

I applied on Feb 10 and the app was received on Feb 11...Same situation here. Anyone, any idea when the form was updated? Many thanks!

if the changes are big, like the fees, possibility of application being returned does exist. but as always, the best practice would be to call up CIC.

CIC have a bad habit of not notifying applicants of a change to their fees (see the 100-400 fee fiasco) or application forms e.g pre Nov 1, 2012 no passport bio data page with post Nov 1 2012 passport bio data page required. Normally such an approach is dealt by handling any applications post marked prior to the change being treated as complete. In the case of say fees then a top up can be required or with a document the applicant can be advised to submit what is required while their application is held in process.

CIC instead work on the 'received on date x' approach and send the applications back saying the wrong version was used. Unless someone starts selling crystal balls applicants caught in between versions can end up with serious delays which given the planned reforms can mean the difference between getting your citizenship in 2014 or 2018!

If there is any significant change in the new version of the form especially pertaining to any new document required then expect your application form to be returned!

We sent my husband's application on Feb 10... it was received on Feb 12 (as per FedEx). On the day we signed the application/put in the mail they still had the old form on their website. We don't know what's going to happen.

I saw the new form and compared to the old form... No major changes. They only changed the questions in the work area a little bit. If you declare any unemployment period they now require you to explain the reason for unemployment. They also created a separate space to declare any educational training you (or your children) received within the last 4 years. Everything Else appears to be the same.

Usually, when government agencies change forms like that they do allow a "window" for people to adjust, usually a few weeks or months but I really don't know what will CIC do in this particular case.
