thanks for your advice@k.h.p. but will i still be tied up to the conditions of a protected person even if i got my pr through my wife? ( spousal sponsorship?

No you can’t give up your protected person status. If you were approved as a protected person that allowed you to remain in Canada and apply for spousal sponsorship. Once you become a citizen you can visit your home country.
