Citizenship delayed

Hi,

I applied for citizenship in June 2011 and still waiting for a response from them... my status was updated to "in process" in may 2012 but i have not still got the date for citizenship test. could someone please provide me with the email address i can contact CIC.. i have been trying to contact them via fone but whenever i call them its on voice msg...
Also does anyone have any idea when i can expect the test date?

The average processing time is 21 month ( that is for 80% of the applications ) some patience might help and no email is available .

yes, i know the processing time but the ppl who applied with me or before me have already appeared for the test and i am still waiting...

No, My case is smooth, theres no complications that can cause delay.... i dont know whats going on... its already been 16 months and no call for test.
My passport is expiring in the end of this year and PR card will expire in the begining of next year....

Some offices are slower than others. I applied 14 months ago and I also have not received the test date yet. If you are for example from Montreal or Halifax, you will have to wait a little longer for the test invitation letter. If you are from Mississauga, than you should definitely call the call centre.

Hi, I also applied in July 2011, my file started processing in February 2012, each time I call CIC, different answer, someone said you will hear in October, today I called again, call center agent said it will be December/January to do the written test, at this time patience is the only solution like you and others in the forum...

What I can read in your list is that you are not applying for canadian citizenship, but you applied for permanent residency. That is someting different.
I just saw in the list for visa offices,that it can take up to 26 months for Islamabad.

No, they did not ask for any additional paperwork..

i am already a Permanent Resident and applied for citizenship in June 2011... the timeline in my profile is for my husband's sponsorship

Well, you have to allow them to drink enough tea and coffee, then to go to holidays and be back... then to have enough talk with each other, and maybe to go yet another time for holidays, of course at the cost of your taxes.
Please don't be hard on them, allow them enough time to chat and drink coffee so after that they (might) consider processing our applications (in a happier mood).
