Citizenship - Current PR Card Vs Expired PR Card

Hi Gurus,

I am sending an application for Citizenship today, i took the xerox copy of my latest and current PR card front and back which i got it 4 months ago as an extension of my first PR card.

Do i need to submit a xerox copy of expired PR card too or CIC just look for latest PR card ? Please advise.

Latest only. The old one will have already been marked as expired/cancelled.

Can I ask why did you need to send a copy of your PR card in your Citizenship application ?

Probably as its a "travel document" issued to the holder by the Govt of Canada, and it shows PR status as well as serves as a form of ID.
Makes it easier for CIC to identify the PR holder as it has the Client ID(uci) on the front.

It's not in the document checklist but most ppl include it anyways, no harm
