Is the status of your application still in progress? I called my mp office today and some one should reach out to me to get more info, will let you know if that helps. I did my oath on the 17th of nov and also have jt the subject line
Yeah . Its still "In progress"

How sure are we that JT is linked to a person? I am yet to meet someone from Ottawa who did not have *JT in their subject line

Not 100% sure. But I have seen a long thread about this JT in this forum (people who had oath in June July). And I personally know someone who didn’t have JT but 2 different letters in the subject line (Ottawa office).

I talked to CBC today and they were interested in publishing an article about “massive delay of sending citizenship certificate by Ottawa office”. They asked me couple of documents that I’ll send them (emails and letters I sent to IRCC and the 2 IRCC ministers (the previous one and the current one)) and some other evidences. Then they will call for an interview and then reach out to the minister for a comment before they publish the article.

I really hope the media could shed some light on why there is a massive delay for applicants associated with "JT". It's completely absurd to me that a single person could be the bottleneck of this entire process and it's mind boggling to me as to why there isn't a secondary person/ team to split the load when someone is on leave. I don't blame JT one iota for delaying distributing certificates if they have to take time off from work to focus on themself. The people at the leadership level at IRCC should be under scrutiny for making us suffer from the consequence of this poorly designed half-baked process.

Here is a link for sending feedback to IRCC regarding their services experience, I would encourage all of you to submit a constructive feedback based on your personal interaction with them.

Canada is aiming to welcome 411,000 new immigrants in 2022 and 421,000 in 2023. If what's happening in the Ottawa office is somewhat representative to the rest of IRCC offices, then personally I believe this is nothing but another political stunt which to me will further lower the credibility of this government. We need real actions, not just another campaign slogan!

Hi - My citizenahip certificate was mailed from Montreal on Jan. 5th but I haven't received it yet. Any idea which courier service they use and how long should it take to get here in Mississauga ?

So you live in Mississauga and they are sending the certificate from Montreal ?

Had my Oath on Dec 31. They said they would mail the certificate on the same day, Dec 31. Case closed in the online tracker on January 3. Received my certificate today, January 11. My case was in Scarborough office. Hope everyone receives their certificate soon!

Hi,

I had my Oath on January 7 from Mississauga office. How long will it take to get my certificate?

Do I get certificate through Purolator or Canada Post?
