did you request for urgent certificate?
I requested the clerk during the oath she said it was too late to request but i kept insisting and told her nevertheless i will attach my travel plan and the reason for urgency. There was no reply to any of my emails to her that she approved urgent request. Am not sure if this is expedited processing as it is not sent through purolator but canada post

I attended my virtual oath on 17th October conducted by Scarborough office and my residence is at Scarborough as well. I got a response for my email regarding the status of my citizenship certificate dispatch that the certificate was issued and mailed on 18th October via canada post and they had indicated i should receive it in 2-4 weeks. In the citizenship tracker the status has not changed from in process for my citizenship ceremony in spite of my citizenship certificate being dispatched. Any idea the actual approximate time when i should receive my citizenship certificate (the office is just 2 minutes away from my residence)
Don’t listen what IRCC say, 2weeks - 4 , is generally rules. Congratulations son you will find the certificate of ceremony in your mail!

Called them, agents are confusing me even more. They said file is Vancouver office. I asked them but oath was at Winnipeg so certificate should come from Winnipeg?
They said they don;t know. I asked can I send an email to Vancouver office if they think certificate is coming from there. Please give me their email? They said we have no contact, wait till 2 December 2022. WTF

Wow that sounds disorganized! Try emailing DNCITVANTESTS@cic.gc.ca - I had found this in a previous post where someone shared known email addresses for a number of offices

Hi everyone, I have my oath ceremony on 31st Oct. I live in GTA and assigned Mississauga office. We are planning to travel on Dec 2nd and wanted to understand we are cutting it too close. Can someone share citizenship certificate timelines for Mississauga office? any recent experience with the passport office?

Impossible to travel day 2 December.
After Oath needs 2 days to see updates; Oath completed
If you live inside of GTA , another 1 week to receive certificate by mail ( if IRCC sends certificate 3 - 4 days after Oath Completed ✅
At least 15 days to receive passport ( pick up in the passport office service)
I’m not GOD to find what really can happen to Mississauga office, but I’m sharing others experience!

I think Mississauga is one of the slower offices, so you might be cutting it close in receiving the certificate, as it can take up to 6 weeks in the slower offices like Mississauga. But when you meet with the agent at the oath, you can ask to have your certificate expedited. In many offices, they will do that. I'm not sure about Mississauga. However, once you get the certificate, you can get an urgent passport in as little as a day or two if you walk in to Passport Canada with proof of your travel, so your main goal should be to have your certificate expedited. But let's see what others who have taken oath in Mississauga have to say.

You are correct. You can apply for a passport and get it in a day or two, just need to wait in the “walk in” line at the passport office for a few hours, and ask for urgent or express processing with proof of travel.

The main hurdle is getting the citizenship certificate quickly, as there is no way to guarantee that. You have to mention the upcoming travel during the ceremony registration, or possibly in an email earlier, and try asking for expedited processing of the certificate, so there is a chance they will let you come and pick it up, send it by express courier, so you get it in 2-3 days (this worked for me).

All, today I got the certificates for myself and my wife but the envelope was missing my kids certificate (under 14) any idea if they ship them separate or it was missed in the process
