Citizenship certificate - address

Hello,

i have my oath on July 7 and Im moving on July 1st. If I update my address during the oath day, will i receive my certificate at the new address ? Or will it be lost or delivered to the old address ? Is it possible to select forwarding with Canada post without changing the address with IRCC ?
Or should I leave my old address ? I can still access the mail at my old address but I noticed sometimes I don’t receive mail at this address , I don’t know why ? :/ so I’m worried I won’t receive the certificate.
Can I ask to pick it up ?
Anyone changed the address on the oath day and received the certificate or picked it up ?

During the oath ceremony, they confirm your mailing address. They asked me my address and said that they still have my old address on file. They updated it and sent the certificate to my new address.
I would suggest you ask them during the ceremony. It would not also hurt to use the forwarding option with Canada post as a backup, though I do not remember if the envelope had "Do not forward" written on it.

How long did it take to receive the certificate at the new address ?
Were there any issues in updating the address ?

1) I received the certificate 7/8 days after the oath ceremony date.
2) The officer asked me for my address as part of the verification process ( They ask to show your ID ) .She said my address is not up to date. Would I like her to update it? I said Yes. Done.

Does the address on the ID need to be the same as the one you give them ?
