I recently filled out my proof of citizenship application and sent it to Sydney NS. I received it back saying it was incomplete and assume this was because I managed to have missed the second parent page. Now this is where my question arises. My father was born in Canada, and my mother was born here in the US, but has been deceased for 11 years. Since she was never a Canadian citizen do I fill out all lines pertaining to her Canadian citizenship with "n/a". Additionally, do I fill out all of section 8B (grandparents) with n/a since my father was born in Canada and not outside of?

Yes, don't make it appear that you skipped anything in the application. Enter all names, even if they have nothing to do with how you inherited Canadian citizenship. If something doesn't apply, explain why it doesn't apply, such as, "not a Canadian citizen", followed elsewhere by "N/A".
