Hi everyone, just a question that needs clarification. I've pored over the CIC website over these laws but am still having a hard time with it. I know someone in a situation as follows:
He is a naturalized citizen (born in Korea, came to Canada at a young age). Currently living overseas.
Fairly certain Citizenship was obtained prior to 2009.
He and his wife (non-Canadian) are expecting a child.
Will the child be Canadian if born overseas, or does that 1 generation foreign born policy apply in this situation and the child will not be Canadian, as he immigrated to Canada?
Thanks!
