Yeah, I see no reason why it make any difference, but if it did due to some new IRCC operational policy, I see no reason why someone at IRCC would knowingly admit it to the public.
To be honest I agree with you and think the same way but why those people received such emails and this is 100% true that they received such emails saying their case is straight forward and will be processed faster

Hi mickey mouse. .can I know "who" sends those emails and what's the description in it..
CIC sent those emails stating their applications will be processed faster as they have a straight forward case. I will try to get those emails from my friends and post here...

Why it took you so long to apply ? Thats my point ? since 2008 were you not ever eligible to apply ? Why you delayed ?

Faster I mean for those who after landing lived here for 4 straight years and applied

I had to first stay enough time in Canada to apply for my permission to keep my German citizenship. If you are under 10 years here in Canada it can get very difficult to convince the Germans of your need for a Canadian citizenship. Their argument is: what is it that you cannot do with a permanent resident card. The longer you are in Canada the easier the Germans are. Originally, I wanted to wait for the full ten years after which it is much easier to get this permission.

I finally applied for this permission in November last year and got it in February. After that I applied for the Canadian citizenship.

I do not intend to leave Canada ever, therefore I am in no rush. Nevertheless, my application appears to be dormant in the Vancouver office.

Stef.
