I have a good news to share. Just received my oath ceremony invitation for 5th Dec. It's been more than one year since I applied. I contacted my MPP last week. They enquired and received a response that my application is approved. I received an email for the oath ceremony as well.

I have to travel to the US on 8th December on work. Can I get my new passport through expedited processing in a day? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Hi guys, i did my test yesterday and got Decision Made today. Interview person said that because my application has passed the one year timeline, they will try to send me oath soon so lets see.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 16, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on November 18, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on December 7, 2017.
4. We sent you a notice on February 22, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on March 12, 2018 at 7:45 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you a notice on November 13, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on December 5, 2018 at 9:00 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Congrats. Big gap between March test and Dec oath. Do you know the reasoning for the delay?

Thanks. Yes I know the reason. I used to travel a lot and they were not able to reconcile the stamps on the passport. They asked me to resubmit the physical presence document again in Narch which I did. Then it was silence at their end till Nov when I received the oath ceremony email.

Do it as soon as possible and send it. This indicates progress in your processing, it's the next step before they call you for an exam, hopefully.

Based on your location, Google for rcmp accredit center that does fingerprints.

I have done my Fingerprints on 7 Jan 2019..any idea how will it update to me. the lady at Fingerprints office told me, to email to RCMP after two weeks.. any experience in the forum.?

I received reply from RCMP as,
Please be advised that, according to our records, the application in question was received in our system on:
2019-01-10
We are unable to provide specific dates as to when the verification will be completed. Once we complete our search, the results will be mailed to the address indicated in your electronic submission.

any adivse from this forum.
i need to reply IRCC with 30 day .. so I need suggtion for net step as that email not helpful for now.

I think once you have done your finger print then you are safe and you are within the time limit given to you , so you don’t have to worry
