Not sure at all as to when we can get AOR! I hope by December at least!

As far as I know if it is a same day trip as a PR (going to USA-Buffalo in my case and coming back on the same day after 2 hrs) it will count towards the physical presence in Canada. Correct me guys if I am wrong. I had a trip like this once, which I did not think was worthy of mentioning.

Day trips don't count as absence, but IRCC indicated to mention those on the calculator anyway (in their FAQs)

We should get AOR next month, or worst case by December. I doubt we'll get test invite anytime soon.

Guys - i forgot to ask:
currently, my accumulative days in the USA in the past 4 years is under 183 days but quite close. with my planned up coming trips in Nov and Dec, it will go over 183 days. However, i sent my application in on Oct 16th. signed the copy when it was still under 183 days.

Do i have to inform IRCC about the upcoming trips (less than 2 weeks in a row)?

You should definitely inform IRCC of your travel plans. Worst case, your test date will be postponed.

Difficult to predict the test date post-C6.

Hi folks, what are the 2 pieces personal identification that I can submit for my kids? On CIC website they mentioned school records and insurance card but both don't have a picture of the child. What else can I submit as a personal identification for minor?

We’ll stop processing your application and won’t make a decision if you don’t:

• submit the documentation we requested from you
• provide us with a reasonable explanation for not showing up after we invite you to a:
  • citizenship test or interview
  • hearing with a citizenship officer or a citizenship judge
  • citizenship ceremony

If this happens, we’ll send you a message to explain why. You’ll have to submit a new citizenship application and pay the fees again.

for me it looks more they want to be informed so they hold any communication while the applicant is away
in the same paragraph it says that only with written consent someone else can get info about the application (if the applicant is away for example)
and of course if someone would be away they will need to be aware of any communication and come back quickly for test, interview, oath etc

Today morning I’ve received an email from CIC that have my UCI # and Application # and reads the following “please find information cencerning you application for citizenship in the attached document” however there was no attachment with the email!!! Anyone knows what is this about??!!

1. I highly doubt CIC even looked at your application yet.
2. Did you request such information from CIC?
