Did you receive a Residence Questionnaire or Quality Assurance Excercise, or request to submit ANY additional documents ? If no, and assuming you have a clean background history in Canada as well as home country, then your case is likely routine ... so far.

My guess would be background checks must be ongoing. Security checks can take a while for some people depending on their background (country of origin, multiple jobs in multiple countries, vast travel history, etc.)

Finally I became a Canadian citizen! Feel so Happy now ;-D
The ceremony was hold yesterday in Mississauga.
The online application status has been changed to Complete.

If you are interested, here is the timeline.

Good Luck to those who are still waiting. They are speeding up, and you'll get it very soon!

1. Application received on October 16, 2017.
2. Acknowledging receipt on December 8, 2017.
3. In process since January 4, 2018.
4. The citizenship test on July 4, 2018.
5. Notice on July 17, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony
6. Became a Canadian citizen on August 9, 2018.

OK. . Thanks for sharing. I think in our case we will wait until they ask for the information. And the justification would be, she was technically employed - different matter that she did not have a salary from her employer. If they demand that a correction is sent, will do at that time.

If you put incorrect information on your application you should correct them as soon as you realized it. If IRCC finds out that will not be a good thing for the application. They could label it as misrepresentation. Mistakes happen and you can always fix it.

Helllo screech339 - Did she signed any form during interview ? I am asking because of one friends has signed a white form ( He mentioned that officer wrote his score on that form) and asked for sign ?
Is this normal ? he was worried .....
