Just got my test invite today. April 26 in Calgary. 8:02am. Early considering I have over an hour drive to get there. How early should I be there? It says not to be there more than an hour early.

Hi everyone.

My citizenship exam this coming Monday, March 26. Question: As I was checking the documents that I need to bring, I noticed I have to bring my original Philippine passport. Are they going to get it? I have a scheduled wedding to go to this April 21st and 27th in the US.

Hi everyone.

My citizenship exam this coming Monday, March 26. Question: As I was checking the documents that I need to bring, I noticed I have to bring my original Philippine passport. Are they going to get it? I have a scheduled wedding to go to this April 21st and 27th in the US.

They won't keep your passport, if that's what you're asking. They only want to go through it and tally the stamps with your physical presence calculator output that you submitted with your application.

If you are not going to be in Canada for more than 2 weeks, you should let IRCC know so they won't schedule anything during that time. And yes, if you let them know that you can't do the date they give you, they do allow you to postpone, but you would just have to wait for the next date which sometimes could take a while.

Only a change in ecas, no email or letter.
There won't be an extra item (like for the invitation to the test); the status that now reads "in process" just after you logged in will become "decision made".

There will be an extra item once you are invited to the citizenship ceremony, and a letter or email will also be sent.

Congratulations on the test invite. Be there around 7:45 am, there will be line up to join! Don’t need to be there earlier than that parking is expensive!

- Police certificate requested from the country of origin ( More than 183 days passed there in 2014 before my immigration to Canada)
- Police certificate delivered on fabuary the 1st.
- Decision made today, march the 25th.
