Double check the information. I asked for the name change due to marriage, I had the same problem before, but then they update my last name as per the marriage certificate, now everytime I login I used my Married name.

Hi, may I ask when you asked for the name change? Was it before citizenship application or by the citizenship application?

I have requested the name change in my application and seems it has delayed my application.

Thanks,

Thanks,
When I applied for the replacement of my PR card back on September 2007, I ask them to change my name base on my Passport. I dint hear from IRCC till end of November regarding my PR Card but they basically change my last name to my married name, they say I have to legally change my name. I applied for Citizenship Grant on October when the new bill came into effect. I did the same thing, I ask for the name change on my application but all my information was the same as my PR Card. My mistake I forgot to ask the agent when he did the interview.

Everyone between the ages of 18 and 54 at the time they apply for citizenship must take the citizenship test. We use the test to determine if you have adequate knowledge of Canada and the responsibilities and privileges of citizenship. If you are 55 or older when you apply, you do not have to take the test.
