AOR 10th January 2018

So i contacted my MP on 20th December, as there was no AOR even after 8 weeks. He told me to send all my details. I did.
On 29th of December, he forwarded me a reply he got from IRCC saying that they don't have my details in the system.
I replied to my MP that my file was received by Someone called Mike, (Tracking number was communicated to MP)

Received an Out of office reply from MP that he is on vacation and will be back on 8th of January. I,however reprinted and prepared another application to resend. Which i didnt, i decided to wait till 8th.

On January 3rd i received an email from Secretary of MP, she said that she have told IRCC to look into my matter again.

On January 8th i received an email from Secretary, enclosing a reply from IRCC, saying that they can confirm that application was received on Oct 27th 2017. Secretary told IRCC to explain why there was no AOR sent to applicant? She gave them 10 days, she forwarded same email to me.

On 10th of January, at 10:37PM, i received an AOR.

Special thanks to my MP and his Secretary.
TBH, I don't think your AOR email had anything to do with your MP. A lot of October applicants got AOR this week. It's very likely just a coincidence.

Adding you to the sheet. Can you share your location, physical presence days, and application type (single or family) ?

Hello,

Please update my status. In Process Jan 10th, 2018.
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 10, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 29, 2017.
  3. We started processing your application on January 10, 2018.
No emails were received. I just checked ECAS this morning and it showed up.

I guess based on the Spreadsheet, the estimation for IP was pretty good!

Thanks.

I mentioned one time on a thread that to communicate about application through an MP could be a good way and there were a lot of people in the forum who started saying things like: Now you also want to call or contact the Minister or the PM himself?
For all those speculators, this should be set as an example for you all to know that our local MPs are here to help us and that's why there are elected by ridings.

To support that- I do believe my MP (or his office) did have a hand in my speedy process of application. I had only sent in an email to express concern about lack of resources in the Mississauga office back in Aug after 2 months in process. They were very prompt in replying saying that they will look into it & even took my details and while at that time the average time to get a test date in Mississauga was about 6 months, I received mine within 4. Many of the May Mississauga applicants are still doing their tests and I've completed the entire process. Their office does not discourage us asking for any kind of help but I wouldn't encourage everyone to write to their MP unless it's absolutely urgent or way past the normal time.

Did not share this before because of those speculators who judge your decision here, but I might as well now I guess :)

Yes anything abnormal beyond normal time processing only, can easily be brought to attention of Local MPs here, as they are highly useful and helpful resources.

Hi,

Do you have any template on what to write to the MP?

I'm from Oct 16th and after 3 unsuccessful Webforms I think is time to try something different.

I don't want to send a second application as I still think that it's sitting somewhere in Sydney. I can't believe that so many applications got lost.

Thank you,
