One of my friends was mentioning that they have received applicants who have sent applications 2-3 times and that by NO MEANS have accelerated the process. It made the overall process slower as they still have to open the files which were under the pile, for the same applicant thus losing time for a new file to be re-opened. I know sometimes it's highly nerve-wrecking to wait on getting AOR, but instead of re-sending applications twice and thrice, my advise would be to wait and pray to God and follow-up with CIC instead.
At the end of the day you do not want others to fall behind and suffer consequences, because of your wrongful decision.
Just an opinion, decision remains with the discretion of the applicants waiting.

We argued to death with the people who were doing this... they don't really care.

Just checked online application status and got 4th line stating citizenship test on Feb. 08, 2018.
Please update the sheet.
Thanks

Can someone please explain why, when and who gets FP and/or RQ request? TIA

Hi Everyone,

I just joined this thread.
I just got test invite yesterday. Below are my details:

App. Sent: 12th Oct, 2017
Delivered: 16th Oct, 2017
AOR: 18th Nov, 2017
In Process: 12th December, 2017
Test Invite: 8th Jan, 2018
Test Date: 07th Feb, 2018

Just a question, is there any place, where i can go and try practice exams?

Can someone please explain why, when and who gets FP and/or RQ request? TIA
That's not an easy answer. And anyone who answers it would only be guessing.

General belief on this forum is that FP is sent when your full or partial name, and biographical profile results in a hit during RCMP's criminality and background check. They need your fingerprints to make sure it's not you.

There are tons of posts/threads on RQs. @dpenabill covered it extensively. TL;DR version: it could be randomly sent for quality assurance, or it could be sent when the officer reviewing your file suspects your claim of days on which you were physically present in Canada (I would think this could happen if the dates on the physical presence calculator are incorrect or if you failed to account several/long trips outside Canada). Also, sometimes a short version of the RQ is given during the interview, from what I've read on the forum, for the same reasons.

Awesome!
Thanks for clarifying!
