Yep... I’m slowly going crazy. This is going to be one loooong year :(

Don’t stress. It won’t help.

What’s going to happen in worst scenario? Let’s say out application is returned, or even with more bad luck our returned application get lost in transit. Then we apply a month later from now. We are going to get Citizenship tomorrow or day after. It will get delayed by few months that’s it.

So stay calm. Stressing won’t help. We are actually wasting our time thinking about it all day. Enjoy. (:

Guys I need your advice.

I answered No to question 10b cos I thought IRCC meant 183 days or more in a year in any of the past 4 years.

Not knowing that they meant 183 days or more in total in the past 4 years combined.

I spent total of 185 days in my home country between Oct 12, 2013 and Oct 12, 2017, my application date.

I thought I do not need to send PCC but it look like I need to send one. I got AOR already on Nov 9, 2017. ECAS is still showing application received.

What should I do please?

Fill out the webform and advise them of the mistake. Meantime apply for a PCC, and send it once you have it.

I just spoke to CIC agent now.He said they are currently working on the applications received on the 19th Oct.
Let's keep the hope alive.
Congrats to all AOR recipients.

Hi Alexy2016,
Thank you for sharing this info. Could you please explain a bit more. As I landed Canada on 07th July-2013. So I am confused after your thread. What Date Should I put in my Calculator ? Your reply will appreciable. As per my Physical Presence Calculator, it says my Eligibility Period Starts from 25-Dec-2012.

From my understanding if your eligibility period starts from Dec 25, 2012, you'll have to add this in the calculator even if you were at your home country at the time and not yet a PR. So in your case you'll add dec 25, 2012 - july 7, 2013 and add a reason. It won't really affect the physical presence days it will just show as zero

Not very good news ;-(

I just spoke with a CIC Agent re my application received by them on Oct 16 (confirmed by the delivery company).
The agent told me, that all applications received before Oct 19 have been already processed and all applicants have got AORs (not me thou).

She checked the system and couldn't find any records on me. They have no ideas whether my file hasn't been opened yet or just got lost.
As well, she mentioned, they have to give 6 more weeks to start investigating the case (which will be only in mid Jan).

Terrible news to be honest! Would very appreciate any help from everybody who saw things like that.

This is happening a lot and makes zero sense to be honest.
The CIC agent will likely not have any idea how many envelopes there are and not only that, you have said they have no idea whether your file has been opened yet.....
There are no records because it hasn't been opened.
Look at the spreadsheet and you will see probably about 100 (at first glance) people either at your timeline or before who are not reporting AOR. Have all these people received AOR and not reported? Unlikely.

I don't think it's bad news. If you want to make yourself feel better then start making another application but I would wait until the spreadsheet is closer to 90-95% complete on AOR

Thank you so much My friend! It totally makes sense what you just said about other people who are still waiting.
Obviously, the best approach would be to give it more time and wait.

According to my calculations the spreadsheet covers between 1 - 2 % of total number of citizenship applications. Currently about 100 pre Oct 19. did not receive yet the AORs in the spreadsheet. That yields to 5000 - 10.000 applicants in total.

Do not worry, I estimate that all pre Oct 19. applicants will get their AORs within 7 to 10 days, if IRCC process them at the same speed as now.
