There is your answer. I didn't realize it until I helped a friend with his application. Then i was 50/50 whether I signed it or not, and then I somehow convinced myself that I signed it 100%. Today I got my answer, now I am behind all the 10 million October applications.
Dang sorry that happened. I ran to the mailbox after reading your comment. Nothing there (yet)

My wife’s application delivered on October 16, received the AOR yesterday. She had lived abroad during eligible period. And she selected Yes for the question 9C and attached an explanation letter instead of CIT077 form. So I guess mystery on 9C is revealed now.
By the way, CIC is really fast nowadays, AOR for my application in July had arrived in 40 days.

There was never any mystery about 9C - the guide is very clear on it.

I actually checked NO in 9C even if I lived in my home country before arriving here as PR and I received the AOR last night. I guess it really depends on the officer who checks your application or maybe they`ll see my mistake in the processing stage of my application.

Not really. There was a huge confusion about 9C and nobody had the best answer. It has been discussed for weeks here. The question and guide are not mentioning the same thing. CIT077 Form is for crown servants but question in 9C doesn't mention it and it asks if you lived outside of Canada.

I have the same scenario but I answered "NO" and attached an explanation letter.. let's wait and see :).. I think they know by now it is confusing..

For WORKER, what is the Date your status expired? The day you get your PR or the actual day on the Visa/Permit?

Still people with applications returned OMG, should I expect mine too? The major mistake I made was that I did not declare maternity leave in question 11 as my spouse was still employed during maternity leave and I asked CRA directly and they say the status of my spouse is "employed" regardless
of insurance benefits :(:(:(:(:(

Unfortunate. Atleast you got to know within 2 weeks. Did you send it to the courier address or PO box ? Thanks

I don't think that matters for AOR. They only check to make sure all questions were answered, whether correctly or not will be determined after AOR. You can use the webform to inform them of any mistakes on your application after you get AOR.
