in the Minors required Docs
they say they want 2 Piece of ID with one of them has a photo
now my kids are all under 14 (12,9,6)
anybody know how to fulfill this requirement i have only Alberta health card

The "Instructions Guide" provides clear information for this. I did not read it before I sent my application :( I included PR Cards and COPR for my kids. Should have included Health Cards as well. I wish they accept my application though as they only want photo on one piece.

Two (2) pieces of the child’s personal identification

Both pieces of identification should show your child’s name and date of birth, one of which must have a photo on it.

Examples include:

  • school record
  • health insurance card
If there is information on both sides of your child’s personal identification documents, provide a photocopy of both sides.

For a child under school age, identification such as:

  • a passport page containing his or her photo and personal details, or
  • a hospital or immunization record, may be provided
Format: Clear and legible photocopy

If ITR means Income Tax Return, then there is no requirement to send with the application. However, I did send my Notice of Assessments and T4 for the entire period. If you have, then send it. You should be able to download NoA from CRA website as well.

Thanks, do have 3 yrs of IT assessment with me. I'll send that.

I would advise against sending anything that they haven't asked for. You simply authorize IRCC to directly access your CRA returns. There is no reason to include these with your application. It would only create confusion and more work for the person going over your file.

Choice is yours at the end of the day.

WHY?? People, if you want your application to be processed, read the instructions, and send EVERYTHING asked for on the check list. DO NOT send anything that they did not ask for! They have access to your income tax filings, the form ask you to give them authority to check it with revenue Canada. Sending documents that is not on the checklist does not help, if anything, it delays your application

So what's the point of IRCC asking for your SIN card number? I believe they can get all these info from CRA them self.

IRCC has access to everything that we had already provided to them during our PR and (for some of us) Work Permit application. Why they have asked for it then? Contrary to what you said, it might save the case processing officer's time asking CRA about the NoAs if we provide it with the application. I believe any documentation that one might have in support of the questions in the application should be provided to speed up the process.

Do whatever you want. Watch this video, and pay attention to the 7 minute mark, they clearly say do not send documents that's not requested. Again, for others on this thread, my advice is send everything that they asked for, and nothing else.

It never saves time, my PR application went from 12 months to 26 because I sent papers they didnt ask for... Immigration is never gonna trust what you say, thats why they ask permission to request info from CRA, CBSA and RCMP, what they want to know, they will ask themselves... how can the officer be sure that you didnt furgered those documents...? Its a matter of common sense guys, just read the guide, answer what you are asked for and restrain from making out forms and sending documents that are not asked for, wait until they actually read your application and ask you for what they need if they need anything at all....
I just dont understand the willing on some people to complicate such simple paperwork... plus, all that people that send stupid amount of unasked documents just make their process and everyone elses slower because officer need to spend more time trying to make sense of all those documents...

Thats exactly what they offcier of immigration told me las time, he needed go check throughfully every single piece of paper that I sent that wasnt asked for, and corroborate with actual info he got from other agencies, so he had no time to go through it all day, and put my file on hold until he was able to finish everything. He said my file would have been done long time ago, but because I sent all those papers, now he needed to check and recheck and corroborate with what he received, and that my file was slowing process of other people as well

Just list your current SIN and select the option giving them authority to get your tax return from CRA. You don't need to send them the actual return
