I haven't filled my application yet. I'm not even eligible.

You don't need copies of your old PR card.

Oh wow. No wonder why you are so calm hahahahaha. Soon though we might fall in the same category/batch as am waiting a couple of weeks to a month hahaha

Advice please :

My PR is going to expire next May any idea if I should I apply for renewal while applying for citizenship ? or after I apply for citizenship I apply for renewal in case I needed to travel ?o_O:confused:

Apply for both because you need one or the other to travel. Wait next may? If you are due for citizenship why not apply now. When it is may renew your Pr and switch to urgent if you have any trips you need flight info for urgent. Or an excuse or you can renew PR 6 months before expiry

you're right , thank you. What do you guys do for transit? I was in US for full one day before I went on vacation , would you list that separately?
Just list your departure destination. For example, if you went to France but had to transit in the US, CBSA doesn't know you went to France they only know you boarded a US-bound flight because this is what airport authorities convey to CBSA. So in your trip to France you put US as your destination. What you have to keep extremely clear is your returning and departure dates, the destination country is always the primary destination.

Hey Marceau,

I believe it is counted as residency time.

As you have already filed your application, I have a question for you. If one applies for a work permit renewal before the expiration of the current one and gets the new work permit 1 month after the expiry date of the current work permit. That person is automatically is implied as temporay worker for 1 month. Does that person while completing the presence calculator have to make a seperate entry for month implied status as temp worker?

As per the link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/validity/implied.asp

i believe we dont have to specifically break down that 1 month of implied status.

Kindly shed some light.
Hi @LoganWick
I noticed that my time as implied status was before the 5 years, so I didn't have to include it, in fact.
For your question, if your old work permit just expired but you had already applied for a new one, then yes, you have implied status.

I have applied for a new work permit. Can I stay in Canada if my work permit expires?
Yes. You can stay in Canada, and may be able to keep working, under what's called implied status. That means the law implies you are a temporary resident. The implied status lasts until we decide on your new permit application. However, you must respect the following requirements:

Hi guys,

There is a 'date modified' section at the bottom of the Physical Presence Calculator result PDF; dating to 2017-09-22.

Is this okay, and same with everyone?

Thanks,

are you sure about this ? If I'm going to a country for a month and if I was in US for 1 hour (in another case) , I'' say US as destination? that will mean all my trips were to US cuz almost all the flight i took in these years were through US .

Would you send a copy of visas, boarding pass and tickets?

Do you know Guys if we should fill out all info in Capital or Small is ok ??

I believe it does not matter if you fill forms on your computer. However, on "Minor's" (under 18 years) form, its says fill in block letters in black ink if you are filling in by hand
