Within the last 4 years, if you spent 183 days or more in another country (other than Canada), you must provide a police certificate. You must provide a police certificate for each country where you spent 183 days or more. If you cannot get a police certificate, tell us why.
Example 1
In the past 4 years, you took one (1) trip to France that lasted 200 days. You would answer “Yes” to the question and you would need to provide a police certificate from France.
Example 2
In the past 4 years, you took 10 trips to the United States of America (USA). Each trip lasted 3 weeks, for a total of 210 days. You would answer “Yes” to the question and you would need to provide a police certificate from the USA.
Example 3
In the past 4 years, you spent one year (365 days) working in Singapore. While working in Singapore, you took a trip to Malaysia (10 days) and Thailand (10 days). You would answer “Yes” to the question and you would need to provide a police certificate from Singapore. You would not need to provide police certificates from Malaysia or Thailand.
Example 4
In the past 4 years, you took one (1) trip to Europe where you visited Portugal (5 days), Spain (7 days), France (10 days), Belgium (3 days), Netherlands (3 days), Germany (21 days), Switzerland (7 days) and Italy (21 days). You took a second trip to Europe where you visited Ireland (14 days), Scotland (14 days) and England (21 days). You went to Germany for a business trip that lasted 60 days. The total time you were outside of Canada was 186 days but you were not in a single country for 183 days or more. You would answer “No” to the question and you would not need to provide police certificates from any of the countries.
Thank you, I didn't leave Canada except in a trip for one week. But I thought they might need something from the Canadian Police

This "living outside Canada question" is beyond frustrating. Because if you tick "yes" you are asked to fill a form that doesn't even apply to your situation. The question should ask "have you lived outside Canada and do you intend to claim those days for residency".

Seriously, IRCC, get your sh*t together.

yup now just to fill in 10a.. i need to dig out hotel address and stuff..
I prefer the 4/6 forms lol

IRCC Tweeted :
Technical issues with forms have now been resolved. Clear your internet browser cache

No they don't need anything from the Canadian police just from counties you visited for more than 183 days if you did

I keep trying to access IRCC and then hardly it takes me to the forms and when I opened the one for adults it was the one dated 08-2017 not the one dated 10-2017
I am unable to reach to the one dated 10-2017 which I understand is the updated version?!

If you did log in and the payment went through, you should have received an email conformation +attachment

Ugh. Website seemed to be working so I tried to pay my fees. It took the payment but gave me an error before I got a receipt. But the charge shows up in my bank account.

Anyone know what to do???

Do we need to fill out CIT0177E-2 form? As per question 9c during eligibility period if one has lived outside of canada, then he needs to fill it. When I open the form, the title is Residence outside of canada as a crown servant or with a crown servant family member. Since eligibility period starts 5 years before today (2012) and I came to canada as a PR in 2013, do I need to fill it?

It might have generated your receipt still, look in the list of receipts of your cic account. Also, if the payment never went through, the charge will show up on the pre-authorized section of your credit card but will never actually go through
