thanks for letting everyone know :) the ones we filled in already are from june 2017 and i don't see any difference between them except the modification date; does anyone else see anything else different?

The form is still being updated? I wonder what's being changed... !!!

Hi guys. Quick question: Does the photocopy of passport bio-data page, to be attached to citizenship application, has to be from a valid passport/travel document?

Copy paste from http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/CIT0002ETOC.asp

3. Biographical page of passport(s)/travel document(s)
The biographical page means the page that has your name, photo, passport/travel document number, issue date and expiration date.

Provide photocopies of the biographical pages of all passports and/or travel documents (valid and cancelled) for the six (6) year period immediately before the date of your application, or since you became a permanent resident, whichever is more recent.

Also, provide photocopies of any renewal pages of the passport(s)/travel document(s).

So my suggestion is to present copies of the valid current and expired passports, and do not try to use the forged ones.

What exactly do you mean by "and do not try to use the forged ones" ? I have a family member who has an expired passport and hasn't bothered to renew it since she doesn't have the need to travel or leave Canada. So I don't know how you are connecting that to forging?

My passeport has expired in last July and I didn't renew it, so I don't have any choice to send copies of expired passeport (and I am in Canada since 2010). Do you think that will cause any problem?
Thanks

Why don't you apply for renewal ? Keep photocopies of the expired passport and submit them. Once your passport renews, you can submit copies of that later.

It is a choice many people make when knowing that they are ready to apply for citizenship. IRCC will ask you why you did not renew your passport when you go for the interview basically from the standpoint that you are probably hiding it because you were out of the country.

If you have work history, school or some way of proving you were in the country after the expired passport, you should be fine.

Thanks for your reply,
For some complicated reasons I can't renew my passport in Canada (our embassy is closed), but I am working since two years before the expiration date of my passeport, so I hope that will be Ok.

Any document with an expired date is not a document at all. Expired Passport is also not a proof of identity. It should be valid on date of application.
Last March my Driving licence was expiring next day. Air Travel agent told me I cannot use this as identity proof during travel.
Its better to consult an Authorized Immigration consultant whether expired passport copy will be acceptable to CIC
