Hey Guys, just a question:
During my interview after the test, the officer reviewed the entry/exit stamps on my passport (I had the translation as well) , and told me that they have to contact Border control to check for any discrepancies before DM.
Is this normal? How long does such process take?
You left the officer that's in the best position to provide answers to your questions to come ask the forum? I am sure you gave them consent on the application to check with border control?, and now it's not normal for you? I don't get why people keep asking the "how long will it take" kind of questions to people who are in the same process, possibly in the same situation.

The officer 'normally' in most cases verify with the border control before the test/interview invite.

As I understood from your question, there are two possibilities:
  • Like the officer said, they will actually contact border services before the DM.
  • He just said that to check your response or expressions that in case you have forgot any trip or hiding something.
Also keep in mind how many 'buffer' days you have, if you are on borderline of number of eligibility days then I think more chances are the officer will verify from border control.

You will know shortly of either scnarios. Good Luck!

Actually,
I already asked the officer, but of course, his reply couldn't be more vague: you should expect the oath ceremony anytime within 12 months of application..!!!!
That's y am asking here, may be someone had the same situation, but then, got his/her oath letter after a week or so.

Thx,
I actually have a lot of buffer days (around 1300 days or so). He did say: "I see no problem at all, I just wanna make sure there aren't any discrepancies between the date u wrote and the dates at border".

Hi All,
I submitted my application on 22-December-2017 but still not update from IRCC. Its almost 2 months. Anyone else has this long time ? Thanks

Not at all. In fact officer was very helpful.
I have so many questions. How many people were at the exam (estimate)? What were the questions the interviewer asked? Were the exam questions all date related or just random across the spectrum? Which exam website did you use the most to prepare for the exam? How many interviewers were available at the exam? Didd they let you know what date you will hear back from them about Oath? What do you mean by "the officer was very helpful?" I have more but I'm sure that's all you can handle for now. Cheers.

Relax.
The exam is very easy and for most people, the interview is more of a 5 to 10mn chat.
