Hello,

Can we leave Canada after we sent the application for citizenship? Will that impact our application?
 
You will have to come to Canada for the test/interview and the oath, and they won't give much notice on these, meaning you will have to buy tickets/plan travel last minute for these.
Also, they will only mail information to Canadian address, as I have read here (I may be wrong), which means fingerprint requests and anything else they need to mail to you for whatever reason won't reach you/will be severely delayed if you have people who have access to your Canadian address.
other than that, I don't think there are any bureaucratic issues with this.
Of course, they might be curious as to why you applied and left Canada and, depending on your whole story, that might bring in more scrutiny on your physical presence days count etc

Correspondence would be the only issue ( Additional documents required, any specific query )
There is no other reason that would impact your application
 
Panic!!!!

I was eligible for citizenship on September 5th 2018, I sent my application the same day (dated September 05). Now someone told me you are under 1095 days bcoz it should be n-1. Anyone knows anyone in this situation ?
 
hi, may i ask if any one has experience this? we passed the exam for citizenship last Dec 9, 2019. as of today we didn't receive any invitation for oath taking. when i checked our status me and hubby's - "decision made" but my daughter is still "in process". my daughter is minor. it is so odd because our application docs are together but we have different status. what could be the reason? i can't think of any.

guys , I have a question. for how many years we do need police clearance for Citizenship application. and if we did not out of Canada after being PR Canada. then do we need to get police clearance of other country for the past years or not.?
 
Do we have to mention the vacation days outside of Canada(United States)in the citizenship application form under list all addresses question ?
