It's been many years since I used this forum and I'm back with a brief question!

We've been eligible for citizenship for years and I finally said enough, I'm not letting all this paperwork intimidate me any longer!

So, there are 5 of us with PR, myself, my 2 adult kids (teens when they arrived) and my 2 teens. Only my own (USA) passport is still current. We haven't traveled out of Canada since we arrived and just let them lapse, didn't really every think about it.

Do they need new passports? Both the adults who'll be applying seperately, and the kids who will be attached to my application?

Thanks!

You don't need a valid passport to apply for citizenship, if their passports don't cover the 5 years eligibility period you just need to explain why in the appropriate section in your application form.
Good luck!
